Dimitra has had a dedicated mindfulness meditation practice for almost 15 years.
Curious and grateful for the impact on her life, she got certified from the Chopra Center in Carlsbad California in 2012.
She is deeply inspired to share mindfulness as the base for personal evolvement and overall wellness.
Dimitra has shared mindfulness meditation in a health care setting where she worked as a project coordinator for many years, yoga festival, women’s shelter, community centers, yoga studio and private one on one.
This year she discovered her passion for teaching kids from pre-K to grade 11.
Guided with the curriculum of Mindful Schools Essentials and Mindful Life Schools Weekly Wellness Program, she is motivated to guide children and teens to embrace their full potential providing them with tools to develop the confidence to believe in themselves, life, and the gifts they are here to share with the world. Teachers participating in the program are also encouraged to cultivate mindfulness to reduce stress and increase personal and classroom well-being.
A lifelong love of learning, when she is not guiding kids and adults with mindfulness, she is most likely taking another course, workshop, reading, or attending a live seminar with great teachers such as Amma, Tony Robbins, Dalai Lama, Wayne Dyer, Dr Ananda, Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, to name a few… or you can find her spending time in nature, running, listening to music, writing poetry or spending time with her loved ones.
