Meet Dimitra

Mindfulness Facilitator

Hi, my name is Dimitra, (a.k.a Ms. D),

I’m Dimitra, a Certified Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness Facilitator dedicated to helping young people thrive from the inside out.

With nearly 20 years of personal meditation practice and extensive training in research-based, trauma-informed approaches, I design and guide mindfulness programs that are inclusive, engaging, and practical. My sessions offer youth a chance to slow down, tune in, and build an inner toolkit full of emotional awareness, focus, calm, and resilience. Or as I like to call them… everyday superpowers.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of sharing mindfulness with over 4,000 individuals: children, teens, young adults, educators, and caregivers. This has taken place through schools, youth protection services, a hospital, community centres, and private sessions. I currently serve as the lead facilitator and program coordinator at Batshaw Youth and Family Centres.

Every program I offer is rooted in kindness, curiosity, and the belief that all young people have the capacity to grow, flourish, and shine. Sessions are trauma sensitive, easy to integrate into daily life, and always tailored to meet the unique needs of each group, whether we’re breathing, journaling, playing, crafting, or simply learning how to be with what is.

Mindful Me is more than a program. It’s a space to feel safe, seen, and supported.
